Puppy Vaccines

Did you know that the first four months of a puppy’s life are the most important times for learning to socialise with other dogs and with people?

However, because they are often not completely protected for lethal diseases like Canine Parvovirus, they are limited in the exposure to other dogs in this crucial time.

Here at Southern Animal Health, we are using the more modern approach to puppy vaccines – rather than waiting until 16 weeks for the final booster our final puppy vaccine is given at 10 weeks of age, with maximum immunity seven days after this – a full 6 weeks earlier than traditional regimes.

This means your puppy can be out and mingling with other puppies and learning all about canine etiquette and setting themselves for life!
